Lumigan 0.03%

Lumigan 0.03% contains the ocular medication bimatoprost, which is used to treat elevated eye pressure. It is a condition that can result in glaucoma. Lumigan 0.03% may be administered alone or in conjunction with other medications. Glaucoma is an eye disease caused by optic nerve damage. This damaged nerve causes an abnormal rise in intraocular pressure.

Lumigan 0.03% contains Bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue. Primarily, it is used to treat elevated intraocular pressure. It functions by increasing aqueous humor (eye fluid) production and lowering ocular pressure. Because of the elevated pressure, glaucoma may develop. If the pressure is too great, vision loss may result. Lumigan 0.03% should only be applied to the infected eye and never come in contact with the healthy eye.

Lumigan 0.03% are intended for external use only. Before using, break the seal and wash your hands to prevent infection. If you wear contact lenses, remove them 15 minutes after using Lumigan 0.03%. Occasionally, you may experience eye irritation and conjunctival hyperemia (eye inflammation). The majority of these Lumigan 0.03% side effects are transient, do not necessitate medical intervention, and diminish over time. However, if the negative effects persist, consult a physician.

Use Lumigan 0.03% only if prescribed by your doctor. Never promote self-medication or suggest that another person take your medications. Suddenly discontinuing 3 ml of Bimat Ocular Drops can increase eye pressure. Do not use Lumigan 0.03% if you are allergic to sulphonamides or have severe kidney or liver disease. Consult your doctor before beginning Lumigan 0.03% if you have dry eyes or a corneal condition. In addition, Lumigan 0.03% is not abruptly discontinued, as this may result in severe adverse effects. Do not use Lumigan 0.03% with any other eye medication without first consulting your doctor.
