Candid Cream

Candid Cream is used to treat athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin diseases. This medication is also used to treat the skin condition pityriasis (flaking or scaling of the skin). Candid Cream eliminates the fungus responsible for the infection. Candid Cream eliminates the infection by allowing viral components to escape through pores in the cell membrane. The illness is healed as the fungus is eradicated.

Candid Cream should only be used to the skin; if it goes into your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. Candid Cream should be administered to the affected area using a clean cotton swab or gauze pad. To avoid unwanted side effects, the recommended dose of Candid Cream should not be exceeded. Some of the typical side effects of Candid Cream ointment include burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness of the skin in the region where it is applied. Rash, itching, swelling, and hypotension are all indications of an allergic reaction that is very sensitive (skin hypersensitivity reaction). If an allergic response becomes severe, immediately consult a physician.

Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to Candid Cream or any other medications. It is uncertain whether Candid Cream causes damage to the fetus during pregnancy or enters breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking Canesten Cream 30 mg if pregnant or nursing. If a nursing woman applies Candid Cream on her breast or nipple, she must wash the affected area well before feeding her child.

Candid Cream is utilized for the treatment of fungal infections.

Medicinal Advantages

Candid Cream is often used to treat different skin fungal diseases by destroying the cell membranes of certain fungi (Trichophyton species) and yeasts (Candida species).

Use Instructions

Using a cotton swab or gauze pad, apply the cream thinly and evenly to the afflicted area 2–3 times per day and rub it in gently. Before applying lotion to sick feet, they should be thoroughly washed and dried, especially between the toes.

Place in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight.

Candid Cream Side Effects

Every medication has undesirable side effects. In the first few days of therapy with Candid Cream, you may experience burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin in the region where the ointment is applied. However, this would be temporary and may be resolved after some time. Nonetheless, if you continue to feel uneasy, consult a physician. In rare instances, allergic responses (Cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions) such as rashes, itching, and swelling might develop, which can be fatal. If an allergic response becomes severe, immediately consult a physician.

Drug Recommendations

Clotrimazole should not be used in close proximity to the mouth, lips, or eyes. This product contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause minor skin irritation (like contact dermatitis). Inform your doctor if you are using Framycetin and Dexamethasone ear drops since they may interfere and reduce the efficacy of Clotrimazole. If your infant is receiving treatment for oral thrush, you may continue breastfeeding. However, in rare instances, you may require concurrent therapy. If you have used Clotrimazole on your breast or nipple, you must wash it off prior to nursing.

Interactions Between Drugs

Due to a drug-drug interaction, clotrimazole may negatively impact latex contraceptives. Consequently, the efficacy of these contraceptives may be diminished. Patients should be advised to take alternative measures for at least five days after using this medication.

Food Interactions: There are no documented food interactions with Clotrimazole.
